Which Days to Avoid Travelling Towards a Specific Direction?

As per Vastu, while traveling one should keep in mind which disha to avoid heading towards on certain days. The combinations to be avoided are:

  • One should not travel towards West on Sundays
  • One should not travel towards East on Saturdays
  • One should not travel towards North on Tuesday
  • One should not travel towards South on Wednesday

To understand the logical reason behind this we must understand which planet rules the specific direction (disha) and the particular day of the week.

  • Sunday is governed by the planet Sun and as per Vastu is the Lord of East Direction. Hence, traveling Westwards is going against the Lord of the Day.
  • Saturday is governed by the planet Saturn and as per Vastu is the Lord of West Direction. Hence, traveling Eastwards is going against the Lord of the Day.
  • Tuesday is governed by the planet Mars and as per Vastu is the Lord of South Direction. Hence, traveling Northwards is going against the Lord of the Day.
  • Wednesday is governed by Mercury and as per Vastu is the Lord of North Direction. Hence, traveling Southwards is going against the Lord of the Day.

For those whose offices are in either North or South Direction of their home should travel a short distance towards the favorable direction and then turn around. This is a simple method of nullifying the ill-effects of traveling in a direction against the Lord of the Day.
